QUAI SON

A MAJOR PROJECT
FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL STUDIO.

Owner: Quai Son
Project manager : Red House Acoustics
General contractor : CreVaDan Design
Surface : 95 m²

When the Quai Son studio team came to us, the project was simple: set up a control room at the bottom of a garden, nothing more. But as we met and exchanged ideas, heard the wishes of some and the suggestions of others, the project matured and grew, becoming increasingly crazy.

In the end, it revolved around one guiding idea: the need to be able to accommodate the best musicians, to be able to record any note as faithfully as possible, in the best possible conditions.

After completing a 1.80 m (!) excavation for the project, the focus of the Live Room's work was set: the futuristic ceiling, designed from dense fiberboard panels, incorporates a complex diffusion and absorption treatment.

A lively, balanced sound environment, visually stimulating yet comfortable to use.

The piece of furniture, designed by Red House Acoustics and crafted by CreVaDan Design, was developed in close collaboration with the Quai Son team.

It is designed to house the SSL900 console and consists of a set of modules tailored to the studio’s equipment.

The alternating use of medium-density fiberboard, plywood, and walnut gives the cabinet a unique texture and adds rhythm to its form, while harmonizing with the studio’s design.
