LITTLE MONKEY STUDIO

Little Monkey Studio is located in the attic on the top floor of a house. The sloped ceiling and the window in the center already suggested the shape and orientation of this production booth.

Given the client’s impressive collection of synthesizers and effects pedals, it quickly became clear that custom-built furniture and shelving would be the central elements of the design. That’s why we first designed a system of lacquered metal arches encasing the processing panels. These panels are equipped with adjustable racks to allow for flexible keyboard placement. We then designed a large desk incorporating six 84U Euroracks for the modular synthesizer system, a master keyboard, a mixing console, and a patchable panel for his effects pedals.

The whole space is bathed in a dark, bluish ambiance. The low-angle lighting and the panels integrated into the ceiling give the studio the look of a spaceship cockpit.
